Job Summary:
The Faculty of Finance, Accounting, Economics professor is considered a senior member of the University faculty and serves as a respected mentor to colleagues and students. Appointment as a Finance, Accounting, Economics Professor signifies demonstrated excellence as an educator, competence as a scholar, and recognition in professional service. The Associate Professor in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
You Will Be Responsible For:
- Demonstrates behaviors at Adventist University of Health Sciences in harmony with the “Four Words” Nurture, Excellence, Spirituality, and Stewardship
- Provide course syllabi for instruction.
- Develop, design and deliver instruction in assigned courses.
- Participate in student advising and mentoring.
- Formulate and administer, as needed, student competencies.
- Engage in the academic roles of teaching, service, scholarship and research.
- Grade examinations and assignments and review evaluations with students.
What Will You Need:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Doctoral degree from a regionally accredited academic institution. The degree must be either in the assigned area of education or in an area that directly contributes to the professional assignment
- At least 3-years of effective college-level work in the area of academic or professional expertise.
- Ability to work in both a face-to-face and online teaching environment
- Knowledge of computer based academic delivery systems
- Ability to work with an ethnically diverse student body.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
May supervise adjunct professors, graduate teaching assistants or student workers.
