The Pediatric Emergency Department Child Life Specialist I provides comprehensive child life services for patients and families including creating and implementing coping strategies, developing pain management plans, facilitating age appropriate education to enhance understanding of care and promoting play and expressive opportunities.  Functions as a key member of the healthcare team, communicating developmental and psychosocial information to other team members. Wednesday through Saturday 12-10pm The Children's Emergency Department is tailored to the needs of children and their families, with a separate space from the adult ED.  The location houses a newly established special "resuscitation space" for critical care cases to enhance treatment for the sick
