The position exists at the VA Maine Medical Center and involves regular independent travel to patient's home throughout the VAMC primary service area. The HBPC OT is aligned under the Geriatrics and Extended Care Service Line. The HBPC OT uses advanced skills in providing Occupational Therapy services, interpreting a wide variety of functional levels, determining the need for home medical equipment and adaptive equipment, and teaching/monitoring safe use.
