Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT) at the GS-7 level, under the supervision of the Pulmonary Section Chief, will operate instruments to perform blood gas analysis, bronchoscopy with lung sampling, cardiopulmonary exercise stress tests, lung volume tests including spirometry (both pre and post medication), total lung capacity, functional residual capacity, and flow volume loops, airways resistance, diffusion studies, respiratory muscle strength and positive airway pressure (PAP). Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: 1.
