Under the general direction of the Director of Rehabilitation Services, the Manager of Respiratory Services is responsible for the daily operations and compliance of system-wide Respiratory Services, including Respiratory Therapy, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, and Pulmonary Diagnosis. Assesses the service needs of the patients and coordinates care accordingly. Provides cross-coverage to the Director of Respiratory Services-Stroger, as needed. Monitors and ensures service quality, efficiency, and effectiveness throughout Cook County Health & Hospitals Systems (CCHHS).
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required (Must provide official transcripts at time of interview)
Must be a Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program (Must provide official transcripts at time of interview)
Must be currently registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) (Must provide proof at time of interview)
Must possess a current license in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP ) in the State of Illinois (Must provide proof at time of interview)
A minimum of eight (8) years of supervisory experience or lead therapist experience in an acute setting is required
A minimum of five (5) years full time experience in a clinical role as a Respiratory Therapist is required
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Must provide proof at time of interview if already obtained)
Master's Degree from accredited college or university is preferred
Ten (10) years of supervisory or lead therapist experience in an acute setting is preferred
Two (2) years of experience in a Pulmonary Function Role is preferred
Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty (NPS) Credential is preferred
Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) Credential is preferred
Adult Critical Care Specialty (ACCS) Credential is preferred
Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) Credential is preferred
Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) Credential is preferred
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification is preferred
Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification is preferred
