Provides direct services for neonates, infants, toddlers, school age children and adolescents by using art as a tool to help them attain and maintain maximum levels of functioning in the areas of physical, cognitive, communication and social/emotional health. Provides program planning designed to reduce stress, increase adaptive coping, provide normalization, promote social interaction and support developmental integrity through play experiences in a safe environment.
Uses art therapeutically to support children and youth, incorporating professional expertise and knowledge related to human development and health care experiences.
Designs and implements art therapy sessions based on patient/family strengths and needs, using art processes, multimedia and imagery.
Coordinates, trains, and supervises volunteers and students in majors related to art therapy during field work/internship experiences.
Contributes to the organization by actively participating in process improvement initiatives and shared decision making.

Shift: M-F 8am-5pm 32hrs/week
Board Certification (ATR-BC) and one year relevant experience.
Additional Salary Information: Potential additional 8 hours per week with adult hospital palliative care team.
