VUMC TempForce has an opportunity for Hospital School Teacher. In this role you will be responsible establishing goals and objectives to provide effective program implementation and education for patients, families, and staff. Delivers efficient service including referral to appropriate resources, effective intervention, and coordination with healthcare team. Coordinates, trains, and supervises volunteers, students, and adjunct teachers.
The Hospital School Teacher will demonstrate mastery of academic instruction in practical applications of a difficult nature. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully delivering academic instruction services without requiring support and instruction from others. Able to train and educate by setting the example, giving technical instruction, providing leadership, and generally raising the level of performance of others while on the job.
· Licensed Teacher (Required) Must hold a current Tennessee Teaching License. Candidates who have recently graduated from an accredited school of education or have moved to TN with another state's teaching license are allowed a provision to obtain licensure from the TN State Board within six (6) months of hire date.
2 days per week, 2.5 hours per day (5 hours per week total)
