Center for Change is seeking part-time, on-call female Care Technicians to assist the clinical and nursing staff in providing secure, safe, and supportive treatment to inpatients suffering from anorexia and bulimia. Part-time on-call staff will have a regularly scheduled shift ofÂ 8Â to 16 hrs.Â / week, plus on-call shifts.
Center for Change is a 24-hour healthcare facility with both full- and part-time staff who cover regularly scheduled shifts.Â On-call Care Techs are scheduled for regular shifts of 8 - 16 hours each week and in addition will be called in to fill a variety of shifts around the clock (6:00 AM to 2:00 PM; 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM; or 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM),Â when other staff are ill, on vacation, or otherwise unable to fill shifts. As on-call staff, hours will vary from 6 toÂ 32 hours per week, but on average fall in the range of 15 to 20 hours per week. This is an excellent entry-level position for individuals who would like to gain experience in the mental health field. Â All openings for regularly scheduled full- and part-time Care Technicians are filled exclusively by on-call staff who have experience working at the Center.

Responsibilities: Care Techs work closely with patients at the Center. They provide daily support and assistance with activities of daily living and are expected to mentor healthy attitudes and behaviors. Care Techs eat meals with the patients and join them in a variety of experiential therapies such as recreation therapy, movement therapies such as Yoga and RIMBA, art therapy, music therapy, and other group therapies such as body-image and 12-step. Care Techs work directly with patients in goal setting and follow up, and are responsible to enforce program rules.
Schedule:Â 8 -16 hours/week to start with potential to increase hours in the future.
