Responsible for obtaining accurate and complete patient information for scheduling appointments and treatments within the Cancer Treatment Center and entering it in the computer system. Accepts incoming calls and makes outgoing calls for the coordination of patient services for the Chemotherapy and Radiation therapy Departments and affiliated services. Facilitates patient flow throughout the Cancer Center. Assists RNs, physicians, therapists and other staff and visitors as needed.
High school diploma or equivalent.
One to three years computer experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Previous clerical experience and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Basic computer knowledge.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
