This is a PRN position. Provides professional massage and bodywork services to promote healing and a sense of well being. Integrates systematic manipulation of, or pressure on, soft tissue of the human body for therapeutic purposes. May include a variety of massage modalities to include Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial massage, etc.
Current Massage Therapist license by the state of Texas
Minimum of current certification from an approved school and currently licensed in the state of Texas by the Texas Department of State Health Services.
Sufficient experience to demonstrate ability to perform all aspects of massage using current techniques and have current certifications for additional massage techniques and at least 1 year in specialty modalities with certification to practice modality.
Ability to perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of self or others. Ability to comply with all Good Shepherd policies and procedures that are job-related and consistent with business necessity. Ability to effectively communicate with patients and provide competent care as appropriate to the ages of patients served by this position.
